Hosted vs. On-Premises Call Center Software: Which Delivers Better TCO?

Patrick Barnard from TMCnet wrote a terrific article entitled “Hosted vs. On-Premises Call Center Software: Which Delivers Better TCO?”.  In the article, Patrick tackles common misconceptions with regard to what cloud-based applications can and cannot do, when compared to on-premises systems.

Some of the misconceptions Patrick writes about include:

Cloud-based call center solutions are “just for the little guys.”
The fact is, enterprises are making increasing use of cloud-based call center solutions as well, and have just as much, if not even more, to gain from making the migration.

Cloud-based call center software lacks features and capabilities when compared to on-premises systems.
Patricks writes “We learned that most cloud-based systems deliver the same features and capabilities as their on-premises contemporaries”.  Not only that but cloud-based platforms can provide better scalability and redundancy.

In the article, Patrick continues writing about other misconceptions including flexibility, integration and total cost of ownership (TCO).
